Google Photos for Android
Google photos is an application developed by Google LLC and it was released in May 2015. Google Photos is basically a photo and video storage and sharing service that provide users a free space to store unlimited photos of up to 16 megapixel and unlimited videos up to 1080 resolution. Google photos categorize the photos and videos on the basis of place, people and things. The application recognizes the faces and groups the similar people together. The same is with the places or landmarks that are similar and things like birthdays, wedding, animals are grouped according to their similarity.
|Application Name||Google Photos|
|Total Size||65.89 MB|
|Minimum Requirements||Min: Android 5.0 (Lollipop, API 21)|
Target: Android 12 (API 31)
The application is for both Android as well as iOS users. It is the best application to backup all your photos and videos. The photos and videos are stored in cloud service through Google photos and users can access the photos and videos from any of their devices. The application has two storage modes: High Quality (photos up to 16MP and videos up to 1080p) and Original Quality (actual image and video quality). With the unlimited storage capability, Google photos have an advantage over icloud.
Google photos come with Backup and Sync settings and through this users can adjust the size of upload and users can also decide if they want their photos to upload through mobile network or through Wi-fi. The only demerit of this application is that it runs on your carrier data plan. But if you have unlimited data pack, then this is a blessing for the users to keep their photos and videos safe.
